My time in Buenos Aires

das Wetter war wirklich nicht schön, kalt, feucht und ein bisschen windig, aber irgendwie hatte ich das dringende Bedürfniss mir noch ein bisschen die Stadt anzugucken... Hinter der Casa Rosada beginnt der Puerto Madero, der nicht wegen Holz sondern wegen seinem Architekten so heißt. Er war nur ganz kurz in Benutzung und ist heute ganz nett zum Spazieren- und Essengehen

The weather was really not nice, cold, humid and a bit wind but still i really had the feeling that i want to see more of the city, o i went to puerto madero, which starts right behind casa Rosada. He was named after his architect (not for the wood that might be brought there) and only very short time in use. Now you can go there for a nice walk and to touristic restaurants =)

Todavia el tiempo no esta muy linda. Hize frio, habia niebla y un poco humilidad tambien, pero sin embargo tenia la impression, que tengo que ver mas de la cuidad. Asi me fue al Puerto Madero, directamente atras del Casa Rosada. Si entendi correctamente, su nombre no viene de "madero" pero de su architect. Ademas no trabajaba mucho, hoy es un lugar muy lindo para caminar y comer en restaurantes touristicas =)





nur ein ganz kleiner Teil am Hafen sieht so aus -- it's just a very small part of the habour -- no son muchos aedificios en el puerto asi, pero hay



das ist nur der Anfang eines großen Naturschutzgebietes, freue mich schon auf lange Spaziergänge dort im Frühling -- this is just the beginning of a big natural park. I'm really looking forward going for a walk there in spring -- aqui empienza un jardin ecologico. ya me alegre mucho la idea ir para caminar alla en el primavera



eigentlich bin ich kein Fan davon, Armut zu Motiven meiner Fotos zu machen, aber ich finde, das ist eine grandiose Zusammenfassung der ganzen Stadt: irgendwo zwischen total kaputt und hypermodern -- normaly i don't like putting poverty as motiv of my pictures, but this seems to me the perfect conclusion of how this city seems to me: somewhere in between destroyed and very modern -- realmente no me gusta poner pauperitat como un motivo de mis fotos. Pero ese para mi monstrar muy bien, como buenos aires parece a mi: dentro pauperitat muy obvio y modernidad

weil es hier kein Müsli gibt (zumindest nicht in vernünftiger Vollkornqualität bzw. zu einen angemessenen Preis) sind wir auf das landesübliche Frühstück umgestiegen : Frakturas. Supersüße Teilchen mit Dulce de Leche, Marmelade oder Vanille. Hier seht ihr nur eine kleine Auswahl der scheinbar unendlichen Möglichkeiten =)

because we can't buy cereals here (at least not as we know it from Germany) we started to eat the breakfest which is typical for Buenos Aires: Frakturas. They are incredible sweet, most of the time with dulce de leche o jam o vanilla creme and super delicious! this is just a small part of the variety that exists.

como aqui no hay muesli (por lo menos no lo hemos encontrado) cambiamos al desayuno muy tipico de aqua: Fracturas. Son superdulce pero muy muy rico tambien. hay de dulce de leche, mermelada o vanilla. En este imagin se pueden ver algunos possibildades, pero hay mucho mas =)



Brot sieht auch ganz anders aus, immer weiß und immer weich und hält höchstens zwei Tage

well, that's a very German problem, but this is how bread looks like here and it is very far away from the bread we used to eat at home... but you'll get used to everything =)

si, eso es un problema muy aleman, pero este pan... bueno el pan de alemania esta muy distincta, pero ya estamos acostrumbrarnos a este de aqua =)






unser Freund und Helfer. Auf der rechten Seite der Stadtteil (in diesem Fall unserer) auf der linken Seite welche Colectivos (Busse) wo abfahren (sollten) es ist so kompliziert, dass es wohl noch etwas dauern wird, bis wir es eigenständig versuchen

our best friend. right hand you can see the parts of the city (here it's the one we live in) on the left you see which colectivo (Bus) (should) go from where. It seems that complicated, that it will take a lot more time until we'll try ourselves

nuestro mejor amigo. La pagina derecho monstra el barrio (que en este caso es nuestro) y la pagina izquierda monstra de donde se va qual colectivo (officialmente). A mi me parece tan complicado que no vamos a probarlo nuestro mismo tan rapidamente



und natürlich die Mate! Das hier ist unsere, wir üben auch schon fleißig, aber so richtige Profis sind wir noch nicht. Glücklicherweise dürfen wir immer mal wieder bei anderen mittrinken, wie beispielsweise in meiner letzten (und ersten und sehr coolen) Vorlesung, die zwischenzeitlich eher einem Matekränzchen auf hohem Niveau geähnelt hat =)

and of course : Mate! This one is ours, we're practising hard, but still we're not profis. Fortunatly people invite us regularly to participate in their mate. Like in my last (and first and really cool) rehearsal, that seemed a bit more like a mate-sit-in on high level =)

y, claro: el Mate! Este es nuestro. Estamos practicando mucho, pero todavia no somos muy en un nivel muy alto. Por suerte nos envitamos nuestros colegas varias vezes... Como antesayer en mir ultimo (i primer y superbonito) curso, que parece mas como un encuentro de mate en nivel muy alta =)

jetzt sind wir seit einer Woche hier und haben schon ein bisschen mehr von Buenos Aires gesehen. Ich stelle fest, man kann schwer beschreiben, wie es hier ist, deswegen einfach ein paar Bilder, vielleicht könnt ihr euch damit einen Eindruck machen =)

we*ve been here for a week now and get to know more and more parts of the city - slowly though. I recognise, that i can't really explain how this city looks like so i just put some pictures, hoping that you'll be able to have a little picture of the place I'm at the moment =)

estamos aqui casi una semana y conocimos mas y mas la cuidad - muy lento pero bueno =) Es muy difficil para mi, explicar, como es este cuidad, por eso pongo algunas fotos para ustedes pueden ver un poco como pareca la cuidad a mi =)

sind gestern in die Stadt gefahren - mit der ältesten U-Bahn der Welt. // went to the city yesterday - used the oldest Underground of the world // Fuimus a la cuidad - utilisamos la mas vieja subte que existe en el mundo



was man leider nicht lesen kann: auf dieser hüschen Leiter steht ein schild "Notfallleiter" =) ich hoffe einfach mal, dass ich sie nie brauchen werde ... // what you can't read unfortunatly: next to this leader, there was a sign, saying "in case of emergency"... well i just hope, i'll never need to use it =) // que no puedes leer en el imagin: habia un papel dice "en caso de emergencia"... pues, espero, que nunca tengo que utilisarlo =)

Die Kathedrale von innen. Leider ist das Foto von einem der gefühlten 1000 Marienaltären nichts geworden. Sehr katholisch aber auch sehr hübsch! // The cathedral. Unfortunatly the picture of one of the 1000 prayingplaces for mary the virgin got lost. Very catholic though but still very nice // La catedral. El foto con unos de los 1000 lugares donde pudes orar a la virgin no sale bien ( lo siento, pero para alguien que esta tan protestante como yo, esta algo muy notable). Muy catolico pero muy lindo!



Und der Congress. Bis hierhin sind wir auf der Riverdavia gelaufen. Vom Plaza de Mayo, wo Casa Rosario ist, bis zum Congress die große Prachtstrasse lang. // And the Congress. We walked here from Plaza de Mayo where Casa Rosario is all along the big boulevard. // Y el Congresso. Caminamos desde de Plaza de Mayo (donde es Casa Rosario) hasta aqua segimus la Avenida de Mayo.
