day of the reformation : Casa San Pablo
wie versprochen gibt es wieder neue Fotos aus Casa San Pablo. Am Samstag haben wir den Kids erzählt, was es mit dem Reformationstag auf sich hat.
An alle meine katholischen Freunde: ich bin ein großer Fan von Ökumene und ich mag die katholische Kirche (na gut, nicht alles, aber ich mag auch nicht alles an der evangelischen Kirche), aber wir mussten schließlich den Unterschied deutlich machen... fühlt euch nicht auf den Schlips getreten bitte!!!
as I promised, some new pictures from Casa San Pablo. This saturday we explained the most important changes of the reformation to the kids.
to all my catholic friends: I am a big fan of the ecumenism and i do like the catholic church (well, not all of it, but i don't like all of the protestant church neither!), we just had to show the differences to the kids... so please don't feel hurt!!!
como dije, mas imagines de Casa San Pablo. Es sabado pasado explicamos los cambios mas importante vinculado con el dia de la reforma.
para todos mis amigos/as catolicos: no es que no me gusta el eucumenismo ni la iglesia catolica (bueno, no todo, pero tampoco me gusta todo de los luteranos!) si es un poco polemico, pero teniamos que monstrar los cambios a los chicos.... espero que nadie se siente offendido!!!
Basti als katholischer Priester (er hat auf deutsch gesungen und gelesen um den Effekt von Gottesdienst auf Latein darzustellen.) der auf Luther (Diego hat sehr deutlich gemacht, dass es niemandem gefällt, wenn er vom Gottesdienst nichts versteht) trifft...
Basti as a catholic priest (he read and sung in german to show how strange it is not to understand anything .... latin is to close to spanish =) ) who met Luther (Diego who said very clearly that it is not at all nice not to understand anything of a mass)
Un sacerdote (en este caso Basti, que leó y cantó en aleman, para monstar como se siente cuando no puedes entender NADA) encuentro a Lutero (Diego, que estaba muy enojado por la manera del sacerdote)
mhm, also ich finde ja das Bild spricht für sich =) im Mittelalter konnt man machen was man wollte, die Gnade Gottes hat man einfach nicht erreicht. (hier mit unerreichbaren Bonbons am Ventilator verdeutlicht)
well actually... not a lot to explain =) in the middleages you could do what ever you wanted to reach the grace of God, you never really reached it. (here we showed it to the kids by putting sweets up on the ventilator... no change to get them!)
*hihi* sin palabras... casi... bueno, en el medioevo era re difficil alcanzar (una palabra nueva que aprendi en este contexto el sabado) la gracias de dios, puedes hacer cualcuier cosa y no va a funcionar. (aqui se monstra muy bien con caramelos en el ventilador... tan arriba, que nadie los podria alcanzar)
SO muss der Altar in Casa San Pablo eigentlich aussehen...

ASI esta el altar, cuando los chicos en San Pablo estan celebrando un culto (claro, que lutero todavia esta bien observadoro si todo va como debe)
und natürlich darf auch richtig deutsches Essen (Osterzopf) nicht fehlen (es ist gar nicht so leicht, was typisch deutsches zu finden, was man frühstücken kann, für 30 Kinder herstellbar ist und nicht allzuteuer...)
and of course we needed something very german to eat (easterbread). (we just found out that it is pretty difficuilt to find some typical german food for breakfest, easy to prepare for 30 kids and not expensive...)
y, por supuesto, necesitamos algo tipico de aleman para comer (pan de pasqua). (Nos dimos cuenta que es muy difficil encontar algo aleman que se puede comer para desayuno, se puede prepara facilmente para 30 chicos y no cuesta tanto...)

visiting a "german" highschool
Am Freitag war im Colegio Luis Siegel Tag der offenen Tür. Zwei meiner Kommilitoninnen arbeiten dort als Relilehrerinnen und haben mich mitgenommen. Die Schule gehört zur deutschen Gemeinschaft in Buenos Aires, mit allen Vor- und allen Nachteilen, die das so mit sich bringt =) Für diesen Tag haben die unteren Klassen gebastelt und die Älteren verschiedene Projekte ins Leben gerufen. Das Wetter war super, dementsprechend sind auch die Fotos ganz gut geworden.
The highschool Luis Siegel celebrated last friday with an open day, so I visited it with two friends of mine who are working there as theacher for religious education. The school belongs to the german community of Buenos Aires, with all the pros and contras that are coming up with that relation =)
For that day, the little ones did a lot of art and craft, while the older ones had different projects - mainly to sell some stuff they did themselves. The weather was just great, so the pictures I took are also pretty nice =)
El colegio Luis Siegel tenia un dia de las puertas abiertas el ultimo viernes. Como dos de mi companieras estan trabajando alla como profesoras para religion, fue con ellas para visitar la escuela. Ella esta parte de la congregation alemana de Buenos Aires, con todas las ventajas y disventajas que hay en este relacion =)
Para este dia, la primaria hizo muchas cosas manuales y la secundaria tenia algunos projectos sobre pequenios negocios. El tiempo era muy lindo, entonces las fotos tambien salieron bien =)
da sag noch mal einer es gäbe kein grün um Buenos Aires (ok, das war schon nicht mehr in der Stadt selber...)
There IS some green in Buenos Aires (though, I have to admit, that was allready out of the city itself)
SI hay partes verdes en Buenos Aires (bueno, si no era en la cuidad todavia, pero...)
hier ist der Kindergarten (der am Donnerstag 25 Jahre alt geworden ist)
that's the kindergarden (it celebrated his 25 aniversary thursday)
el jardin (que tenia su 25 cumple el jueves pasado)
man beachte den rosafarbenen blauen Mauselefanten (die Sendung mit der Maus gibt es hier nicht!)
that doesn't make sense if your not from germany, so I won't translate it =)
lo siento, pero no tiene sentido en espaniol tampoco, entonces no voy a traducir lo =)
das Relilehrerzimmer ... unter der Treppe... aber hey, immerhin ein eigenes Zimmer =)
the room of the teachers for religious education... under the stairs ... but hey, at least they do have their own room =)
el cuarto de los profesores para religion... abajo de la escalera... pero por lo menos tienen un cuarto =)

Spotlights on: September
Jetzt ist schon wieder über ein Monat rum und wir sind seit zwei Monaten hier... der Alltag hat uns eingeholt, wie bei den beiden folgenden Bildern kaum zu übersehen:
Now, another month passed by and we've been here for two allready. Daily live chaught us, as you can see pretty well in the following pictures:
Ya otro mes cumpló y estamos ya 2 meses vivendo aqui. La vida cotiania captuó a nosotros, como pueden ver muy bien en los dos fotos siguentes:
damit von der Treppe kein Staub mehr in die Küche fällt...
to keep the dust from falling in our kitchen
para que el polvo no caye a nuestra cocina
ja ja... dazu muss man wohl nicht viel sagen, außer !Es funktioniert! =)
not much to say to this one unless !It works!
jajajaja sin mucho palabras, solo !esta funcionando!
auf unserer Suche nach anderem Frühstück als Frakturas (man fasst es nicht, aber ich kann sie tatsächlich nicht mehr sehen!), sind wir hierauf gestoßen
while searching for other stuff for breakfast than frakturas (hard to believe but true, i can't eat them anymore), we found that
fuimus buscando algo para desayunar, que no es una fractura (muy dificil para imaginar, pero no puedo verles mas), y encontramos este
ein bunter, süßer "Haufen" Nichts
some colourful, sweet nothing
esta con mucho color, muy dulce... y ... nada mas =)
Mittlerweile trauen wir uns, wie man sieht, auch an Nahrungsmittel, die es so eher nicht in Deutschland gibt (in diesem Fall Mais, Platano (große Kochbananen) und Batatas (Süßkartoffeln)) die Zusammenstellung ist allerdings eine Eigenkreation
As you can see, meanwhile we also try food, that's not very commun in Germany. (here we cooked mais, platano (big bananas for cooking) and Batatas (sweet potatos)) the menu was our own idea though

Außerdem haben wir auch die hiesige Version von Sprudelwasser ausprobiert (damit ich nicht immer Fanta trinken muss *g*). Das Wasser schmeckt eher bescheiden, aber der Mechanismus ist super und immerhin blubbelt es...
And - finally, we tried the way of sodawater they use here. (so i don't have to drink fanta all the time). The water itself doesn't taste that good, but the mechanism is great (fun) and at least it makes blubbles...
Compramos un aqua soda (SI, me gusta este!!!) para que no tengo beber gazeos todo el tiempo... el aqua no esta tan buena, pero el mecanismo esta muy chistoso y por lo menos tiene gas...
und eine neue Calabasse (das Gefäß, aus dem man Mate trinkt) haben wir uns auch gegönnt. Die erste hat das Wasser mittlerweile überall hinverteilt, so dass man grüne Finger hatte und nichts zum trinken bekam.
we also bought a new calabasse (the pot you drink the mate from). The first one was really broken by now, if we drank, we got green fingers and there was no water in the calabasse left to drink.
y por fin compramos una nueva calabasse. La otra ahora esta muy rota, el aqua sale de todos los lados, entonces tuvimos dedos verdes y nada para beber.
Angeregt durch die beiden Voluntarias, die in Casa San Pablo arbeiten, habe ich wieder angefangen, Freundschaftsbänder zu knüpfen. Das Garn ist hier SUPER günstig (und gewachst) und nachdem ich jetzt auch das Prinzip besser verstehe, als vor 10 Jahren, ist es ein sehr angenehmer Zeitvertreib (müsste jetzt nur noch Abnehmer finden...)
Inspired by the two voluntarias, who work in Casa San Pablo, i started to make "Freundschaftsbänder" again Here the thread is really cheap (and waxed) and as i now understand the system of it much more than 10 years ago, it's a great thing to do in my freetime. (now i only have to find people who wants them...)
Inspirada por los dos voluntarias, que trabajan en Casa San Pablo, empiezé hacer macrame otra vez. Aqui los ilos son muy economicos y como ahora entiendo mucho mas el sistema, es una cosa para hacer en mi tiempo libre, que es muy buena y me relaja muchissimo (solo tengo que encontrar a alguien, que les quiere...)
=) meine Schuhe hat es auch erwischt...
=) my shoes are my friends allready...
=) no pueden correr sufficiente rapido ...
und... wir haben einen Untermieter:
and... we do have a new flat mate:
y... tenemos un companero de piso:
Otto fühlt sich sichtlich wohl vor unserem Ofen auf seinem Handtuch... als wir vorhin nach Hause kamen saß er schon vor der Tür und hat sehnsüchtig auf uns gewartet. Er akzeptiert allerdings auch, wenn man ihn irgendwann wieder vor die Tür setzt... Wir hoffen, dass er - sollten wir jemals welche haben - gut gegen Kakerlaken einzusetzen ist.
Otto seems to really like laying on his towel in front of our ofen... when we arrived home today he was allready waiting in front of your door. Luckily, he also accepts, being put our of the room again... We hope, that he will help us fight the cockroaches - as soon as they appear...
Otto le gusta muchissimo sentarse en su toalla afrente de nuestro calefaccion. Cuando volvemos a casa hoy, el ya estaba al frente de nuestra puerta, esperando. Suerte, que tambien acepta, si lo ponemos afuera despues alguno tiempo. Esperamos, que va a ayudarnos con las cucarachars, si tenemos la mala suerte, que aperecen...
Und für alle, die sich beschwert haben, dass ich mich das letzte Mal so über den Frühling gefreut habe, hier noch ein Bild des Wetters wie es zur Zeit meistens ist:

Deswegen sind die Fotos von Costa negra sur, wo wir heute waren, auch nicht besonders schön geworden. Einen kleinen Eindruck gibts jetzt trotzdem schon mal, und mehr, wenn wir bei guten Wetter und mit mehr Zeit noch mal hinfahren.
That's why the pictures of Costa negra sur, where we were today, didn't really worked out nice. Some pictures anyway, but more, with better weather and more time.
Por eso, los imagines de Costa negra sur, donde fuimos hoy, no salen muy lindo. Aunque algunos para ver, pero mas, cuando vamos otra vez con mas tiempo y mas calor y sol.
Ein Monat mit viel Alltag und viel Neuem, ich mache immer noch Pilates, ich gebe immer noch Deutschunterricht, ich kämpfe mit der Küche (der Ofen ist eine Katastrophe), ich ärgere mich darüber, dass die Menschen hier ihren Blinker nicht benutzen können und dass verabredete Zeiten so gut wie nie eingehalten werden, ich freue mich weiterhin über den Gottesdienst bei den Methodisten, ich bin immer noch neugierig auf alles was kommt...
One month with a lot of daily live and still a lot of new stuff, still i do pilates, still i give german lessons, i fight with our kitchen (the ofen is horrible), i don't like, that people can't use their flashing indicator probably and that fixed dates are never fixed dates, i'm still happy about the masses in the methodist church, and i'm still curious about the things to come...

Todavia tengo classes de pilates y doy classes de aleman, estoy peleando con nuestra cocina (el horno es un desastre), no me gusta que la gente no puede utilisar su intermitende como hay y que tiempos no importan, todavia me alegren las cultos de los metodistas, y todavia estoy muy curiosa para todo que va a pasar...

Deswegen sind die Fotos von Costa negra sur, wo wir heute waren, auch nicht besonders schön geworden. Einen kleinen Eindruck gibts jetzt trotzdem schon mal, und mehr, wenn wir bei guten Wetter und mit mehr Zeit noch mal hinfahren.

Ein Monat mit viel Alltag und viel Neuem, ich mache immer noch Pilates, ich gebe immer noch Deutschunterricht, ich kämpfe mit der Küche (der Ofen ist eine Katastrophe), ich ärgere mich darüber, dass die Menschen hier ihren Blinker nicht benutzen können und dass verabredete Zeiten so gut wie nie eingehalten werden, ich freue mich weiterhin über den Gottesdienst bei den Methodisten, ich bin immer noch neugierig auf alles was kommt...
One month with a lot of daily live and still a lot of new stuff, still i do pilates, still i give german lessons, i fight with our kitchen (the ofen is horrible), i don't like, that people can't use their flashing indicator probably and that fixed dates are never fixed dates, i'm still happy about the masses in the methodist church, and i'm still curious about the things to come...
otro mes con muchas cosas "normales" y todavia muchas cosas nuevas. Todavia tengo classes de pilates y doy classes de aleman, estoy peleando con nuestra cocina (el horno es un desastre), no me gusta que la gente no puede utilisar su intermitende como hay y que tiempos no importan, todavia me alegren las cultos de los metodistas, y todavia estoy muy curiosa para todo que va a pasar...

one weekend - two different worlds
Samstag (vor zwei Wochen):
war das erste Mal in einem Projekt der IERP (der hiesigen evangelischen Kirche). Es heißt "Casa San Pablo" (Haus des heiligen Paulus) und ist in einem relativ armen Viertel. Jede Menge Leute dort kümmern sich mit allem was man so braucht um die Menschen, die dort wohnen. Es gibt Ärztesprechstunden und Nachhilfe, Essensausgabe, eine Mädchengruppe, und jeden Samstag so eine Art Jungschar. Da war ich jetzt schon zweimal und habe schon mein Herz daran verloren =) bisher gibt es nur ein paar Fotos, aber ich glaube, dass ihr im Laufe des Jahres noch mehr davon sehen werdet...
Saturday (two weeks earlier):
for the first time I went to one of the projects of the IERP (the lutheran church of Argentinia, Paraguay and Uruguay). It's called "Casa San Pablo" (house of saint Paul)
and it's located in one of the poorer parts around Buenos Aires. People there are taking care of the habitants with everything that is necessary. There are doctors around and help with schoolstuff, free lunch and a group for the girls. Every saturday they meet for some kind of christian youthgroup. I participated two times and allready I lost my heart =) so, unitl now, there are just some fotos, but I'm pretty sure there will be more during the year...
Sabato (hace dos semanas):
para la primera vez me fue a un proyecto de la IERP (la iglesia lutherana aca). Se llama "Casa San Pablo". Esta en unos de los barrios mas pobres en la provincia. Hay varias personas que estan trabajando con la gente alla. Hay turnos de los doctores, apoyo escholar, merienda socialidara, un grupo para chicas. Y cada sabato un manana de los pebes (y los otros edades tambien). Participe dos vezes ahora y ya pedie mi corazon ala =) No hay tantas fotos ahora, pero muy seguramente van a venir mas durante ese ano...

uno de los cuartos pequenios para los encuentros en grupos y para prepara las actividades
das ist der größte Raum, hier treffen sich alle zum Plenum (die letzten zwei Male haben wir hier gelernt, welche Sprachen man in Bolivien lernt und wie die Fahne von Paraguay aussieht). Jeden zweiten Sonntag im Monat wird auch Gottesdienst gefeiert.
this is the biggest room. We meet here in the big group (the last two times we learnt, what languages they speak in Bolivia and how the flag of Paraguay looks like). Every second saturday, there is also a mass talking place.
esto es el cuarto mas grande. Aqui se reunen todos (los dos semanas antes aprendimos, qual idiomas se habla en Bolivia y como parece la banda de Paraguay). Cada 15 dias hay un culto tambien.

Die deutsche Auslandsgemeinde hat Gemeindefest gefeiert und das haben wir uns natürlich nicht entgehen lassen. Das Wetter war super, der Gottesdienst war bilinugue, nicht so furchtbar deutsch wie befürchtet (wenn auch in einer sehr hübschen aber sehr deutschen kleinen Kirche), die Predigten richtig gut und die Gesellschaft super nett =) ... aber... es ist eine andere Welt...

The german protestant church has small parishes in almost every capital in the world for the germans who live and work there for a couple of years mostly) had her parishparty and of course we went there. The weather was great, the mass was in german and spanish and not as german as i expected =) - though the church is very nice but very german, and the sermons were really great.... though... thats another world...

la iglesia alemana (de la EKD) tenia su fiesta de la paroquia y claro, que nos fuimos para conoczer la. Estaba muy lindo el tiempo, el culto era bilingue y no tan aleman como recelaba (aunque hay una iglesia muy linda pero bien de alemania del norde) y los dos sermones eran muy buenos ... tal cual... es otro mundo...
leider habe ich von innen keine Fotos. Sie sieht aus wie eine kleine Kirche im Norden Deutschlands

springtime
21.09 : Frühlingsbeginn... heute war es so warm und schön wie an keinem Sommertag dieses Jahr in Deutschland (zumindest nicht, solange ich noch dort war). Ich konnte schon in Rock und T-shirt draußen rumlaufen... und unseren immer bunter werdenden Garten genießen
21/09: First day of spring... today the weather was that nice, I can't recall a summerday as nice as this one from the summerdays I had this year in Germany. It was warm enough to wear a skirt and tshirt. And with the sun also comes the color to our garden
21.09: dia de primavera... y de verdad, hoy era un dia super lindo... no me recuerdo que habia un dia asi en el verano de alemania este ano (por lo menos no, cuando yo todavia estaba alla) Con falda y camiseta disfrutando los colores que vienen con el sol
außerdem habe ich sehr spannende Tiere entdeckt. Auf dem Foto sieht man das nicht ganz so gut, aber die aufrecht stehenden Blattteile werden von Ameisen getragen
there are very interesting animals living just in front of our house. It was a bit difficuilt to talk a good picture of that, but the pieces of leaves are carried by ants

Während ich mich mit derartig interessanten Dingen beschäftige, wie schnell laufende Insekten mit meiner nur bedingt guten Kamera scharf zu fotographieren, versucht Basti Milka, unserem Hund das Stöckchenspiel beizubringen

Cuando yo estaba muy faszinado de esto, Basti entendaba explicar el juego con el palo a Milka, nuestro perro
was allerdings nur mäßig funktioniert

zu beider Ehrenrettung muss man allerdings sagen, dass das gleiche Spiel mit dem neu entdeckten Fußball ziemlich gut funktioniert...
to be honest, I have to say that they also play that game with a football they found and it works a lot better...
pero si, hay que decir que tambien estan jugando este con una pilota y ya funciona mucho mejor...
Kuchala (wie auch immer man das richtig schreibt) sonnt sich währenddessen lieber und beobachtet die Aufregung entspannt

Außerdem war heute auch noch Tag des Studenten (es gibt hier für ALLES einen Tag im Jahr, Tag der Sekretärin, Tag des Lehrers, Tag des Kindes...), wir hatten frei und haben gestern reingefeiert.... davon gibt es allerdings keine Fotos, weil meine Kamera von der Dunkelheit im Partyraum besiegt wurde...
Apart from that, today was the day of the students (as they have a special day for everybody here), we haven't had classes and we celebrated yesterday night... but my camera was defeated by the darkness in the room, so there are no pictures...

Ricoletta - a town of the dead
wie die Überschrift sagt, handelt es sich bei dem Friedhof Ricoletta, der im reicheren Norden der Stadt liegt, tatsächlich um eine Stadt der Toten... genauso in Quadraten aufgebaut und mit kleinen "Häuschen" als
Grab...
As I named this entry, Ricoletta, the cementry in the richer north of the city really is a city of the dead... it has the same structure as the big city and the graves looks more like little houses...
Como llamaba este texto, el cementario de Ricoletta, que es en el mas rico Norde de la cuidad, parece como una cuidad de muertos... Tambien tiene la structura de los cuadros y las tumbas son muy parecida casas... por lo menos para mi de alemania que solo conosco tumbas en el suelo...
hier stehen total alte Ruinen ... // you have really old ruins...// tumbas muy antiquas...
... neben modernen Architektur // ... just next to modern architekture //... al lado de tumbas muy modernas
Außerdem ist hier Evita begraben // and of course, Evita's grave can be found here // y claro que hay la tumba de Evita aqui
außerdem haben sie eine sehr schöne Friedhofskirche // apart from that it has a very nice chaple // ademas tienen una capilla muy linda
Es ist ein seltsames Gefühl, als Tourist auf einem Friedhof unterwegs zu sein, der noch benutzt wird, mehr als das eine Mal das man es eben tut, weil es im Touristenführer steht muss nicht sein!
I have to confess, that it is more than strange to go sightseeing on a cementary that is still used... more than the one time you have to go because it's in the tourist guide, i won't do it!
Hay que decir, que ir a un cementario como tourista no me gusto mucho, si una vez hay que ir, porque es en las guias touristicas, pero otra vez... no si no es obligatorio!

La Boca
Noch ein Teil auf der Tourismus to do Liste abgehackt: La Boca. Hier sind vorallem italienische Einwanderer angedockt und haben sich in großen Immigrantenwohnungen zusammengetan bis sie weiter ins Landesinnere gezogen sind... wenn sie denn gezogen sind. Die Häuser sind zum Teil aus dem gebaut, was von den ankommenden Schiffen übrig war.
And another point on my to do as a tourist - list is done: La Boca. Mostly people from italy arrived here and lived together in barracs with a lot of other people... until they moved further into the country ... as far as they moved. The houses ar built with the parts that were left over from the boats, that brought the people from Europa.
y... listo con otro punto en mi "to-do" list para ser tourista: La Boca. Aqui llegaron los immigrantes mas de Italia y viven juntos con un monton de personas hasta que se fueron a otros partes del pais... si se fueron. Muchas partes de las casas son de parte de los barcas de los immigrantes.
das hier ist der richtig touristische Teil. Da kann man nicht durchlaufen ohne alle zwei Minuten auf jeder nur denkbaren Sprache angequatscht zu werden -- this foto was taken in a really touristic part. You can't walk though it without being talked to in every possible language. -- este parte es lo mas turistico. no puedes caminar alla sin se te hablan en todos idiomas possibles.
hier haben die Menschen gewohnt, leider sieht man nicht so viel. -- here , even though you can't really see it very well, the people lived when they arrived. -- aqui - aunque no se puede ver mucho, vivó la gente que llegó
der Hafen teilt La Boca in den Teil, in dem man sich bewegen kann und in den, in den man alleine nicht gehen sollte. -- The habour halfes La Boca in one part you may visit and the part you definitly should NOT go alone. -- El puerto esta la frontera entre el parte turistico de La Boca y el parte no se debe visitar solo.
und so sieht das ganze dann aus, wenn es nicht zu Tourismuszwecken aufgehübscht und vermarktet wird. -- There are also parts where they don't use the stil of La Boca for making money with tourists. -- Tambien hay partes sin tourismo

Happy Birthday...
Letzte Woche Sonntag waren wir auf dem Geburtstag der Methodistenkirche in die wir sonst auch immer zum Gottesdienst gehen. Sie ist 112 Jahre alt geworden und das wurde mit allem was dazu gehört, richtig schön gefeiert!
Last week, the methodist church we usually go to on Sundays, had its 112 anniversary, which was celebrated in a very argentinien and very nice way!
La semana pasada fuimus al 112 aniversario de los Methodistas aqui a la vuelta. Normalmente vamos por alla para los cultos. Celebraron su aniversario muy lindo y muy tipico =)
6 oder 7 junge Menschen wurden an dem Sonntag getauft -- that Sunday 6 or 7 young people where baptised -- fueron 6 o 7 jovenes que se bautisaron
da hinten im Eck das große Gebilde ist der Grill, in den eine halbe Kuh passt... würd ich sagen -- in the corner that "building" is the oven where they put half a cow... at least -- bueno... un asado... =)
die Argentinier essen nicht nur Rind, aber die Zubereitungsarten unterscheiden sich kaum... zumindest nicht beim Asado, dem argentinischen Grillen -- The argentiniens don't only eat cow, but how they prepare it, there doesn't seem to be a big difference... at least not when it is about asado (that's how the argentinien barbecau is called) -- Parece que los argentinos no solo comen baca, pero la preparacion no es tan distinta... por lo menos en un asado
und nach dem Essen ... -- and after lunch ... -- y despues del asado ...

Mir gefällt die Gemeinde. Sie sind super offen und sehr nett, theologisch richtig gut aufgestellt und musikalisch genau meine Wellenlänge... und sie sind die nächste evangelische Gemeinde von uns aus... vielleicht werde ich dort demnächst ein bisschen mitarbeiten... aber dazu mehr im Monatsrückblick...
I really like that parish. They are really open, very friendly, have a lot of good theologians and their music is just the way i love it... and they are just around the corner, so maybe... i will start do help there a little... but more about that in the review of the month...

Last week, the methodist church we usually go to on Sundays, had its 112 anniversary, which was celebrated in a very argentinien and very nice way!
La semana pasada fuimus al 112 aniversario de los Methodistas aqui a la vuelta. Normalmente vamos por alla para los cultos. Celebraron su aniversario muy lindo y muy tipico =)
6 oder 7 junge Menschen wurden an dem Sonntag getauft -- that Sunday 6 or 7 young people where baptised -- fueron 6 o 7 jovenes que se bautisaron
da hinten im Eck das große Gebilde ist der Grill, in den eine halbe Kuh passt... würd ich sagen -- in the corner that "building" is the oven where they put half a cow... at least -- bueno... un asado... =)
die Argentinier essen nicht nur Rind, aber die Zubereitungsarten unterscheiden sich kaum... zumindest nicht beim Asado, dem argentinischen Grillen -- The argentiniens don't only eat cow, but how they prepare it, there doesn't seem to be a big difference... at least not when it is about asado (that's how the argentinien barbecau is called) -- Parece que los argentinos no solo comen baca, pero la preparacion no es tan distinta... por lo menos en un asado

visiting Tigre
Am Montag war Feiertag des Hl. Martins (nicht unser Martin, sondern der Befreier Argentiniens) und wir waren mit unseren kolumbianischen Nachbarn im Norden Buenos Aires, in Tigre, das eigentlich gar nicht mehr Buenos Aires ist, weil es ruhig und weniger dreckig und weniger busy ist. Dort treffen mindestens fünf Flüsse aufeinander und die Menschen leben auf den Inseln ein bisschen so wie in Venedig.
Last Monday we had a day off because of St. Martin, the liberator of Argentina, so we went with our lovely columbian neighbours to the north of Buenos Aires, what basicly isn*t Buenos Aires anymore, because it's neither dirty, nor loud, nor busy: Tigre. Here at least 5 rivers meet and people are living on the small islands - a bit like in Venice/Italy.
Lunes pasada fue dia del liberator St. Martin y por eso era un feriado. Fuimos con nuestros vecinos columbianos al norde de Buenos Aires, un lugar que se llama Tigre, que solamente tiene poco a ver con Buenos Aires City, porque ni hay tanto sucio, ni tanto ruido, ni tanta gente. Mas o menos 5 rios se encuentran alla, y la gente vive en las islas pequenias (un poco como en Venezia an Italia).
dieses Gebäude ist das erste Casino, das in Argentinien aufgemacht hat. -- That's the first Casino that was opened in Argentina. -- Esto esta lo primero Casino del pais.
Und - juhu - es gab auch wieder eine wirklich wirklich große Feria. Das ist so eine Art Kunsthandelsmarkt der an den Wochenenden überall aus dem Boden schießt und meistens eher alternative Sachen (Hippischmuck, Matebecher, Pullis aus Lamawolle) verkauft. Dieser hier scheint aber ein fester zu sein und es wird vorallem nützliches für den Haushalt verkauft.
and... 'jippi' there was another Feria - really really big that one... It's kind of a big market where handmade things are sold. On weekends they just pop up nearly everywhere, most of the time, they sell more alternativ stuff, like mate, jewelery for hippis or pullovers made from Lama, but this one seems to be an official one that also sells a lot of very usefull stuff.
y...otro feria =) me encantan estos!!! y este era muy grande, pero tambien parece menos alternativo pero permanente y mas util =)

in Casa Rosada
das war ein sehr cooler Trip mit den anderen deutschen Voluntären, die hier waren um sich auf ihre Arbeit vorzubereiten. Im Vergleich zu unserem Reichstag ist das Regierungsgebäude der hiesigen Präsidentin schon echt hübsch...
that was a great tour with some of the other volunary people, that where here to prepare themselves for their work now in different projects. I really liked the Casa Rosada, but maybe just, because compared to our "Reichstag" it is pretty beautiful - inside.
fuimos con algunos otros voluntarios de alemana (estaban aqui para preparase a su trabajo en los projectos de la IERP) en el Casa Rosada. Me encantaba muchissimo (como pueden ver por la candidad de fotos) pero probablamente tambien porque en comparacion con nuestro "Reichstag" es muy linda...

ein sehr repräsentativer Raum. Hier wird der Präsident in sein Amt eingeführt. -- Very representativ. Here the president is put into his work (sorry, that's bad english... but it's late allready) -- muy representativo. Aqui el presidente esta instalando en su trabajo.
Unter der Woche sitzt hier die Sekretärin von Fr. Kirchner -- during the week the secretary of Mrs. Kirchner has her workingplace here -- durante la semana la secretaria de Christina Kirchner esta trabajando aqui
und hier sitzt die Präsidentin selber. -- And here the president herself is working. -- Y aqui la presidente esta trabajando.

die Mütter der Plaza de Mayo (suchen immer noch nach ihren in der Diktatur verschwundenen Kindern). Bis heute laufen sie jeden Donnerstag um drei und fordern Aufklärung und Gerechtigkeit. Habe sie aber noch nicht gesehen. -- The mothers of the Plaza de Mayo (they are still looking for their kids, that disappeared in the dictatura) Until today they meet every thursday to long for enlightenment and justice. But i never really saw them until now. -- Las madres del plaza de mayo. (Estan todavia buscado a sus hijos y hijas que desaperecen en la dictatura) Todavia estan marjando cada jeuves para buscar justica. Hasta ahora no las he visto.
das gleiche Bild (nur mit unglaublich vielen Zuhörern) hat auch Evita - vermutlich - schon gesehen.
