My time in Buenos Aires

Erst war den ganzen Monat lang nichts und dann kommt alles auf einmal =) aber abgesehen von Luis Siegel und Casa San Pablo waren auch noch andere Dinge...

First of all, nothing happened and than everything at the same weekend. But apart from Luis Siegel and Casa San Pablo some other things happened tambien...

Primero, no pasa nada y despues todo el mismo finde... bueno, pero habian mas cosas en este mes todavia...

Schulbesuche // visiting highschools // visitas en colegios : 2 (das war das Colegio der Methodisten, die einen bunten Abend veranstaltet haben, leider ist meine Camera nicht so gut, und wenn es dunkel ist, bekomm ich keine vernünftigen Bilder / that was the highschool of the metodist church, they had a theaterevening. Unfortunally my camera is not that good, so if it's dark, i don't get nice pictures / esto es el colegio de los metodistas. Tenian un cafe teatro. wie versprochen gibt es wieder neue Fotos aus Casa San Pablo. Am Samstag haben wir den Kids erzählt, was es mit dem Reformationstag auf sich hat.
An alle meine katholischen Freunde: ich bin ein großer Fan von Ökumene und ich mag die katholische Kirche (na gut, nicht alles, aber ich mag auch nicht alles an der evangelischen Kirche), aber wir mussten schließlich den Unterschied deutlich machen... fühlt euch nicht auf den Schlips getreten bitte!!!

as I promised, some new pictures from Casa San Pablo. This saturday we explained the most important changes of the reformation to the kids.
to all my catholic friends: I am a big fan of the ecumenism and i do like the catholic church (well, not all of it, but i don't like all of the protestant church neither!), we just had to show the differences to the kids... so please don't feel hurt!!!

como dije, mas imagines de Casa San Pablo. Es sabado pasado explicamos los cambios mas importante vinculado con el dia de la reforma.
para todos mis amigos/as catolicos: no es que no me gusta el eucumenismo ni la iglesia catolica (bueno, no todo, pero tampoco me gusta todo de los luteranos!) si es un poco polemico, pero teniamos que monstrar los cambios a los chicos.... espero que nadie se siente offendido!!!



Basti als katholischer Priester (er hat auf deutsch gesungen und gelesen um den Effekt von Gottesdienst auf Latein darzustellen.) der auf Luther (Diego hat sehr deutlich gemacht, dass es niemandem gefällt, wenn er vom Gottesdienst nichts versteht) trifft...

Basti as a catholic priest (he read and sung in german to show how strange it is not to understand anything .... latin is to close to spanish =) ) who met Luther (Diego who said very clearly that it is not at all nice not to understand anything of a mass)

Un sacerdote (en este caso Basti, que leó y cantó en aleman, para monstar como se siente cuando no puedes entender NADA) encuentro a Lutero (Diego, que estaba muy enojado por la manera del sacerdote)



mhm, also ich finde ja das Bild spricht für sich =) im Mittelalter konnt man machen was man wollte, die Gnade Gottes hat man einfach nicht erreicht. (hier mit unerreichbaren Bonbons am Ventilator verdeutlicht)

well actually... not a lot to explain =) in the middleages you could do what ever you wanted to reach the grace of God, you never really reached it. (here we showed it to the kids by putting sweets up on the ventilator... no change to get them!)

*hihi* sin palabras... casi... bueno, en el medioevo era re difficil alcanzar (una palabra nueva que aprendi en este contexto el sabado) la gracias de dios, puedes hacer cualcuier cosa y no va a funcionar. (aqui se monstra muy bien con caramelos en el ventilador... tan arriba, que nadie los podria alcanzar)



SO muss der Altar in Casa San Pablo eigentlich aussehen...
("Luther" beobachtet weiterhin die Arbeit bis zu einem Gottesdienst, wie die Kinder ihn gewöhnt sind)

ASI esta el altar, cuando los chicos en San Pablo estan celebrando un culto (claro, que lutero todavia esta bien observadoro si todo va como debe)



und natürlich darf auch richtig deutsches Essen (Osterzopf) nicht fehlen (es ist gar nicht so leicht, was typisch deutsches zu finden, was man frühstücken kann, für 30 Kinder herstellbar ist und nicht allzuteuer...)

and of course we needed something very german to eat (easterbread). (we just found out that it is pretty difficuilt to find some typical german food for breakfest, easy to prepare for 30 kids and not expensive...)

y, por supuesto, necesitamos algo tipico de aleman para comer (pan de pasqua). (Nos dimos cuenta que es muy difficil encontar algo aleman que se puede comer para desayuno, se puede prepara facilmente para 30 chicos y no cuesta tanto...)

Am Freitag war im Colegio Luis Siegel Tag der offenen Tür. Zwei meiner Kommilitoninnen arbeiten dort als Relilehrerinnen und haben mich mitgenommen. Die Schule gehört zur deutschen Gemeinschaft in Buenos Aires, mit allen Vor- und allen Nachteilen, die das so mit sich bringt =) Für diesen Tag haben die unteren Klassen gebastelt und die Älteren verschiedene Projekte ins Leben gerufen. Das Wetter war super, dementsprechend sind auch die Fotos ganz gut geworden.

The highschool Luis Siegel celebrated last friday with an open day, so I visited it with two friends of mine who are working there as theacher for religious education. The school belongs to the german community of Buenos Aires, with all the pros and contras that are coming up with that relation =)
For that day, the little ones did a lot of art and craft, while the older ones had different projects - mainly to sell some stuff they did themselves. The weather was just great, so the pictures I took are also pretty nice =)

El colegio Luis Siegel tenia un dia de las puertas abiertas el ultimo viernes. Como dos de mi companieras estan trabajando alla como profesoras para religion, fue con ellas para visitar la escuela. Ella esta parte de la congregation alemana de Buenos Aires, con todas las ventajas y disventajas que hay en este relacion =)
Para este dia, la primaria hizo muchas cosas manuales y la secundaria tenia algunos projectos sobre pequenios negocios. El tiempo era muy lindo, entonces las fotos tambien salieron bien =)

Jetzt ist schon wieder über ein Monat rum und wir sind seit zwei Monaten hier... der Alltag hat uns eingeholt, wie bei den beiden folgenden Bildern kaum zu übersehen:

auf unserer Suche nach anderem Frühstück als Frakturas (man fasst es nicht, aber ich kann sie tatsächlich nicht mehr sehen!), sind wir hierauf gestoßen

while searching for other stuff for breakfast than frakturas (hard to believe but true, i can't eat them anymore), we found that

Mittlerweile trauen wir uns, wie man sieht, auch an Nahrungsmittel, die es so eher nicht in Deutschland gibt (in diesem Fall Mais, Platano (große Kochbananen) und Batatas (Süßkartoffeln)) die Zusammenstellung ist allerdings eine Eigenkreation

As you can see, meanwhile we also try food, that's not very commun in Germany. (here we cooked mais, platano (big bananas for cooking) and Batatas (sweet potatos)) the menu was our own idea though

Außerdem haben wir auch die hiesige Version von Sprudelwasser ausprobiert (damit ich nicht immer Fanta trinken muss *g*). Das Wasser schmeckt eher bescheiden, aber der Mechanismus ist super und immerhin blubbelt es...

And - finally, we tried the way of sodawater they use here. (so i don't have to drink fanta all the time). The water itself doesn't taste that good, but the mechanism is great (fun) and at least it makes blubbles...

Compramos un aqua soda (SI, me gusta este!!!) para que no tengo beber gazeos todo el tiempo... el aqua no esta tan buena, pero el mecanismo esta muy chistoso y por lo menos tiene gas...





und eine neue Calabasse (das Gefäß, aus dem man Mate trinkt) haben wir uns auch gegönnt. Die erste hat das Wasser mittlerweile überall hinverteilt, so dass man grüne Finger hatte und nichts zum trinken bekam.

we also bought a new calabasse (the pot you drink the mate from). The first one was really broken by now, if we drank, we got green fingers and there was no water in the calabasse left to drink.

y por fin compramos una nueva calabasse. La otra ahora esta muy rota, el aqua sale de todos los lados, entonces tuvimos dedos verdes y nada para beber.

Angeregt durch die beiden Voluntarias, die in Casa San Pablo arbeiten, habe ich wieder angefangen, Freundschaftsbänder zu knüpfen. Das Garn ist hier SUPER günstig (und gewachst) und nachdem ich jetzt auch das Prinzip besser verstehe, als vor 10 Jahren, ist es ein sehr angenehmer Zeitvertreib (müsste jetzt nur noch Abnehmer finden...)

Inspired by the two voluntarias, who work in Casa San Pablo, i started to make "Freundschaftsbänder" again Here the thread is really cheap (and waxed) and as i now understand the system of it much more than 10 years ago, it's a great thing to do in my freetime. (now i only have to find people who wants them...)

Inspirada por los dos voluntarias, que trabajan en Casa San Pablo, empiezé hacer macrame otra vez. Aqui los ilos son muy economicos y como ahora entiendo mucho mas el sistema, es una cosa para hacer en mi tiempo libre, que es muy buena y me relaja muchissimo (solo tengo que encontrar a alguien, que les quiere...)

Otto fühlt sich sichtlich wohl vor unserem Ofen auf seinem Handtuch... als wir vorhin nach Hause kamen saß er schon vor der Tür und hat sehnsüchtig auf uns gewartet. Er akzeptiert allerdings auch, wenn man ihn irgendwann wieder vor die Tür setzt... Wir hoffen, dass er - sollten wir jemals welche haben - gut gegen Kakerlaken einzusetzen ist.

Otto seems to really like laying on his towel in front of our ofen... when we arrived home today he was allready waiting in front of your door. Luckily, he also accepts, being put our of the room again... We hope, that he will help us fight the cockroaches - as soon as they appear...

Otto le gusta muchissimo sentarse en su toalla afrente de nuestro calefaccion. Cuando volvemos a casa hoy, el ya estaba al frente de nuestra puerta, esperando. Suerte, que tambien acepta, si lo ponemos afuera despues alguno tiempo. Esperamos, que va a ayudarnos con las cucarachars, si tenemos la mala suerte, que aperecen...

Deswegen sind die Fotos von Costa negra sur, wo wir heute waren, auch nicht besonders schön geworden. Einen kleinen Eindruck gibts jetzt trotzdem schon mal, und mehr, wenn wir bei guten Wetter und mit mehr Zeit noch mal hinfahren.

That's why the pictures of Costa negra sur, where we were today, didn't really worked out nice. Some pictures anyway, but more, with better weather and more time.

Por eso, los imagines de Costa negra sur, donde fuimos hoy, no salen muy lindo. Aunque algunos para ver, pero mas, cuando vamos otra vez con mas tiempo y mas calor y sol.









Ein Monat mit viel Alltag und viel Neuem, ich mache immer noch Pilates, ich gebe immer noch Deutschunterricht, ich kämpfe mit der Küche (der Ofen ist eine Katastrophe), ich ärgere mich darüber, dass die Menschen hier ihren Blinker nicht benutzen können und dass verabredete Zeiten so gut wie nie eingehalten werden, ich freue mich weiterhin über den Gottesdienst bei den Methodisten, ich bin immer noch neugierig auf alles was kommt...

One month with a lot of daily live and still a lot of new stuff, still i do pilates, still i give german lessons, i fight with our kitchen (the ofen is horrible), i don't like, that people can't use their flashing indicator probably and that fixed dates are never fixed dates, i'm still happy about the masses in the methodist church, and i'm still curious about the things to come...

otro mes con muchas cosas "normales" y todavia muchas cosas nuevas. Todavia tengo classes de pilates y doy classes de aleman, estoy peleando con nuestra cocina (el horno es un desastre), no me gusta que la gente no puede utilisar su intermitende como hay y que tiempos no importan, todavia me alegren las cultos de los metodistas, y todavia estoy muy curiosa para todo que va a pasar...
