My time in Buenos Aires

Am Montag war Feiertag des Hl. Martins (nicht unser Martin, sondern der Befreier Argentiniens) und wir waren mit unseren kolumbianischen Nachbarn im Norden Buenos Aires, in Tigre, das eigentlich gar nicht mehr Buenos Aires ist, weil es ruhig und weniger dreckig und weniger busy ist. Dort treffen mindestens fünf Flüsse aufeinander und die Menschen leben auf den Inseln ein bisschen so wie in Venedig.

Last Monday we had a day off because of St. Martin, the liberator of Argentina, so we went with our lovely columbian neighbours to the north of Buenos Aires, what basicly isn*t Buenos Aires anymore, because it's neither dirty, nor loud, nor busy: Tigre. Here at least 5 rivers meet and people are living on the small islands - a bit like in Venice/Italy.

Lunes pasada fue dia del liberator St. Martin y por eso era un feriado. Fuimos con nuestros vecinos columbianos al norde de Buenos Aires, un lugar que se llama Tigre, que solamente tiene poco a ver con Buenos Aires City, porque ni hay tanto sucio, ni tanto ruido, ni tanta gente. Mas o menos 5 rios se encuentran alla, y la gente vive en las islas pequenias (un poco como en Venezia an Italia).

Und - juhu - es gab auch wieder eine wirklich wirklich große Feria. Das ist so eine Art Kunsthandelsmarkt der an den Wochenenden überall aus dem Boden schießt und meistens eher alternative Sachen (Hippischmuck, Matebecher, Pullis aus Lamawolle) verkauft. Dieser hier scheint aber ein fester zu sein und es wird vorallem nützliches für den Haushalt verkauft.

and... 'jippi' there was another Feria - really really big that one... It's kind of a big market where handmade things are sold. On weekends they just pop up nearly everywhere, most of the time, they sell more alternativ stuff, like mate, jewelery for hippis or pullovers made from Lama, but this one seems to be an official one that also sells a lot of very usefull stuff.

y...otro feria =) me encantan estos!!! y este era muy grande, pero tambien parece menos alternativo pero permanente y mas util =)
